Native Forest Jackfruit is grown in lush organic orchards on the beautiful island country of Sri Lanka. This fleshy fruit has a mild flavor and meaty texture remarkably similar to chicken.
Jack fruit is an excellent vegan/vegetarian, soy free, and gluten free alternative to meat. When this meaty fruit is cooked, it becomes flaky and shreds apart.
